Frequently asked questions.
What will happen in my first session?
First we will spend some time chatting about your animal and their veterinary history whilst the physio introduces themselves and gains their trust. next we will look at how they stand and move around the room before agreeing on realistic goals for the treatment. the rest of the session will include massage, LASER (therapy where appropriate) and exercise prescription.
Can you see my animal without a vet referral?
No, following the Veterinary Surgeons Act (1966) we cannot legally work without the approval of the vet. Please see the ‘More Info’ page to find the referral form for your vet to fill out prior to your appointment.
What do I need for the session?
We will bring all that’s needed on the day! Have your animals favorite toys on hand and some treats if they can be fussy eaters or have specific dietary requirements.
How do I pay?
Payments should either be paid in full prior to the appointment via bank transfer or at the time of the appointment via cash.
Will insurance cover the treatments?
Most insurance policies will either have money set aside for alternative therapies or an allowance on the number of sessions included. If you are unsure on what your policy includes, check your documents or give them a ring to make sure.
